eFCAS Scheduler

eFCAS SchedulerTM automatically collects historical meter data from electronic flow measurement computers—using device-specific protocol—and stores it in a secure database. This data, which includes flow data, gas analysis, events, and characteristics, is then available to the enterprise. Electronic Flow Meter (EFM) Data from all meters are viewed in exactly the same format, regardless of the variety of brands of models of the flow computers.

The eFCASTM Suite of tools effortlessly allows companies to collect, edit, audit, report, and make measurement data available to the enterprise and to other applications within the enterprise.

The eFCASTM Client allows for management of the tons of measurement data collected from the enterprise.  It also allows the end-users to configure the scheduling of measurement data in an easy to understand interface.

Communication Groups (Com Groups) are used to setup sets of meters that have the same communication parameters or meters that may have communication paths that may collide if they occur at the same time.   The Com Group can be configured where all tasks run in parallel or one after the other (serially).   This is easily configurable through the interface below.

Com Groups

Scheduling is done through an easy process of creating tasks.  Each task has a schedule configuration and a task description.  The task configuration is similar for most models of flow computers.

Users can add a new schedule item or copy one that is similar to the one needed, then easily set the schedule to the appropriate Days, Hours, Minutes that the task should be executed.   For example: the user can set the schedule to run every other day, every four hours, and five minutes after the hour and the driver will collect only the configured audit trail information that has not been inserted into the database at that time.

Scheduler Configuration

eFCASTM Communication Drivers collect audit trail information automatically and store the data in the eFCASTM secure database.  Most eFCAS Drivers are written to use the native protocol of the device manufacturer.  The drivers are usually created to communicate with all devices of the given manufacturer.  Many different drivers are available, and if one is not listed, CPU would be glad to create it.

Available Communication Drivers

  • Fisher (All)
  • Bristol (All)
  • ABB TotalFlow (All)
  • Thermo Scientific AutoMate/AutoPilots
  • Control Microsystems SCADAPack (All)
  • Cameron/NuFlo GFC 332, Scanner 2000, MCIII
  • Dynamic e-Chart
  • FlowStar DCR1000
  • ProSoft MVI46-AFC
  • Generic Database

Secure Storage is accomplished by strict adherance to API 21.1 and Directive 17 regulations. The backend default database is the proven solution database called Firebird and comes with the eFCAS purchase price. Future version 5.6 will support Microsoft SQL Server as the back-end storage device.
